| #1eivoApr 30, 2009 9:49:54 | On the weekend of April 18/19, my players wanted to play as much RPGA as they could. So I did my best to accomadate them. On the 18th, I ran a session with two adventures.
On the 19th, I ran a session with two adventures.
On the 18th, two of my players created new characters, and played those characters all weekend long (all four adventures). When I went to report the session for the 18th, I think I made a mistake. For Drag1-1, I marked that they both made new characters. For Akan1-1, I didn't see an option for the characters they created in Drag1-1, but it was the same session so I marked new character here also. I was hoping that since it was the same session, they would be created as the same character, but they weren't. Now those two players have 2 characters (one from Drag1-1, and one from Akan1-1), when they should have only 1 character (with credit from both, Drag1-1 and Akan1-1). I already contacted support about this issue, it is now a week and a half later and they told me the issue is resolved (but it wasn't). I told my players that I was just going to report the session from the 19th on one of the two characters they wanted, and they will need to contact Wizards to get it fixed. With all of that out of the way, what should I have done to report the event correctly? What should I have done to had it fixed? |

The only way I know of to prevent this from happening is to have the player create the new character in the online tracking system before you report the event. To fix an error like this the DM is supposed to file an appeal. I have seen this work first hand on a character of mine, but I have heard many people say they never had their appeals go through. |
