RPGA and Errata/Updates and Character Creation

Several questions:
What is the RPGA stance on the use (or non-use) of the errata as available on the Updates Page? Is this LFR/Non-LFR specific?

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/updates

On the Character Creation Page for LFR
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=rpga/news/lfrcharacters

The character creation rules on that page (in the Zip Files) are v 1.6 and are dated from July of 2008, and the page is indicating as not being updated since that date.

With the character creation guideline discussion talking about v1.9 are the rules listed on the Character Creation Rules for RPGA/LFR accurate? Or is there a more accurate version available?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

The RPGA uses the latest version of all applicable rules. This includes all official errata .

As for the website, it is a mess. Frankly, the lack of updates and regular maintenance is embarrassing. Almost none of the subpages are ever updated.
You can find the most recent version of all RPGA documents on the downloads page, including the latest CCG which is 1.8.

The good news (RE: The website) is that the entire D&D site is getting an update/overhaul in the next few months (my money is on mid-summer). This includes the RPGA areas.

That should help alleviate the issue with old pages needing updates.

The RPGA website has been getting an overhaul in the next few months for quite a few months now.

The RPGA website has been getting an overhaul in the next few months for quite a few months now.

It was announced at February's DDXP. . . so if almost two months is "quite a few" then you're right.

(unless you've another earlier source I'm blissfully unaware of)

Well, there are still things that were not fixed from the last time the website was updated. (An update which I still have not come to complete agreement with, as it slowed down page loading time by a factor of twelve). They have become woefully outdated, with wrong contact information, dates and rules. These have been wrong for a couple of years now.

I, like everyone else, am hoping they can get it right this time. The track record for anything web related has not been the best.

Once the D&D website (and RPGA site) is updated, I'll be happy to report back to WotC on any pages that are still out of date at that time.

In fact, I think it's officially something a VCL is supposed to assist with.

However, at this point, I'm happy to see if we don't start with a "clean slate" and go from there.

I for one have faith.

After all, the LG Deities 2.0 document is due to be updated in just a few days, right?
