Greetings, been playing 4ed since it was released and we in my home enjoy it thoroughly. However, I only recently became aware (read tonight) that I could run our home games as sanctioned RPGA events! How awesome. My children are both members (I don't know if WoTC has gotten their parental consent forms via snail mail--is there a faster version of this?). I want to sign my wife and our family friend that plays with us but I have no more DCI cards.
I have read about how to sign them up via tha custhelp site and we have accomplished that but since it is the weekend, I don't believe we will get an answer back from WoTC until Monday/Tuesday timeframe. Since I had a big gaming weekend planned this weekend, will we still be able to get the points if I am able to get all concerned RPGA/DCI numbers within the 8 day event reporting cutoff time?
Also, when do I get my first rewards letter? I would love to be able to hand out a couple of reward cards. Thank you very much for your help!

There's not really a cutoff time, and asking CustServ is somewhat of a crap shoot. To be honest, I'd just hold off on reporting until afterwards.

Yes, you can run home games with RPGA sanctioning for GM reward points.

Note that this does not apply to LFR games, and that there are no player rewards anymore.

You as a GM can earn rewards for running games, however, which vary from free adventure modules to map tiles to miniatures and more.

I took a quick look and didnt see the option for sanctioning a home game...how would you go about sanctioning a non lfr game?

In the list of available adventures, there should be something like "D&D Home Campaign -- Forgotten Realms", and another for "D&D Home Campaign -- Other." You'd select those just like you'd select an LFR adventure.

As karma notes, there aren't player rewards that are mailed directly to players anymore, and the DM rewards are not cards, they're dungeon tiles and other game aids.

However, there should, in the next few weeks (I'm guessing), be a PDF that's released that has the current set of Player Rewards cards in it (up until now, that set was only available as part of the convention support materials. There'll be some sort of notification that goes out to players (likely via e-mail, but possibly via traditional mail) that'll give information on how to get the PDF; each player can then print out their own cards.

Thanks guys. It all worked out. Everybody is signed up (my daughter's name is misspelled but I've got a request in to fix that) and I've been reporting my sanctioned events. Excellent program. Long live 4e.
