| #1mystaraSep 16, 2008 10:42:19 | H'lo! There's an RPG-day event happening near me (in the UK) in a few days, and I'm going to be GMing two introductory D&D sessions at it using a fairly generic campaign setting with adventures that I've written. I'd like to be able to sanction my two games so that I can encourage people to join the RPGA and hopefully score some GMing points. But I'm not quite sure how all this works. I've already qualified for 3e and 4e as a herald GM. But beyond that, I have no idea what to do. It's not *my* event, and it's certainly not a D&D only thing. I would assume I have to "sanction an event" but the entire thing reads as if submitting the event will advertise it to the public as "Mystara's D&D Day!" So confused. |

If they have, just make sure you get the sign-up sheets and some RPGA/DCI membership cards, and turn in any extra cards and the signed sheets at the end of your part. If not, make sure that they don't object to you making your games "RPGA sanctioned". If they don't, you should be able to go in and sanction the two games for RPGA rewards. You'll probably have to sanction the modules as a "Home Game", since they aren't any of the downloaded modules, so order as a home game, and look for the home game entries. Once sanctioned, and ask for help if you need it here, you will be able to download the sign-up sheets for the two games (from the My Events link). Check with your event organizers if they have any of the 10 digit RPGA cards, or any of the old DCI cards, so you can give them to the new players at your game. After the event is over, if you sanctioned it yourself, you can use the Report an Event link to report the games. First you put in the RPGA (or DCI) number for the GM in the relevant area, and it should automatically recognize you, then you will enter the player's numbers in the player area, one at a time. Any new players will require entering their names, but established members will fill in automatically, too. Once you have the list of players & GM created, you can go further down the page and select them from the drop-downs. Once one, you can save that session, and add another one for the second game. After all the information for both games is entered, you can submit the results. And there you have it. |
