So I got a pad of signup sheets. Held a couple of events and signed up new players. Now do I have to send in the forms with the player information on it before the players accounts become active? The FAQ seems to say the players should be able to log in with the default password of WA98055 but that doesn't seem to be working.

Thanks.

Once you've reported the event (and added them as new players in that event) they should be able to login.

If that doesn't work, let me know so I can update the FAQ.

It didn't work for my group. We completed their reigistration with the new forms, finished a game which I was able to report, and they are still unable to log in with their default passwords (either the WA default of their home state and zip).

They were not able to sign on with the default password after I reported an event. I've actually reported 2 events and had to enter the player's first and last name for both events. Do I need to send in the forms that the players filled out?

Thanks

It couldn't hurt to send the cards in. I'm honestly surprised that they can't login.

Might have them try to contact Customer Service and see what they have to say on the subject. You can reach them at http://wizards.custhelp.com (they'll need to setup a separate account there) - it doesn't use the forum/DCI login.

As I understand it one of two things need to happen for someone to be able to log on:

1. They use the activation code from their signup form (if they had a DCI form with an activation form)
2. The form is received by wizards and they process it.

It used to be the case that once someone had reported an event with a new number that new number was then able to log in. This is no longer the case as far as I know (certainly if you have a new number to report for multiple events you need to type in the name for each event - the database doesn't remember it).
