| #1dark_bard_ravenOct 28, 2008 17:35:31 | Me and my wife both would like to obtain DCI numbers and become members to host games in our community we role play on a twice a month basis as it is. But we have two young children and being able to go to a RPGA event of any sort is well out of the question. I was redirected to a site and was informed it was to sign up for membership but it was just to sign up for the wizards site itself. That already being done someone....anyone have any idea how two grown adults can sign up to join the RPGA without having to go through the trouble of getting into a RPGA event |

Find your favorite local gaming store (FLGS for those that are playing at home!) and simply ask them if they have any extra DCI membership cards. Many times a retail will receive a ton of cards over the years due to M:TG and DDM events and never use them all - sometimes asking to take a few is all a retailer needs! 2.) Put out a post asking for membership cards on these here forums. Many of us have a ton of extra cards. (aka: drop me your address and I may be able to send some out ASAP) 3.) Send an email to dci@wizards.com - and someone correct me if I'm quoting the wrong email address? - and request a pad of membership cards. Include in the email that you want to start running home events and that you do not currently have a membership number. Be sure to include your name and FULL mailing address... you have no idea how many people I've talked to that do not include their address! Good luck and let us know what you decide on ![]() |

From the RPGA FAQ, stickied at the top of this forum: 2) How do I become a member? Becoming a member is as easy as finding an RPGA session near you, or at a convention, and sitting down to play. You'll be handed a membership card when you sit down, and just like that, you're one of us. ![]() If you're having a hard time finding games near you, please try checking our event calendar. Nothing near you, but you still want to join and possibly run events yourself? We can help you out there too. In late September, 2008 The Wizards Play Network introduced a webpage to get numbers to new players. You can sign up for a new number right here. Lastly, if signing up on a webpage isn't for you, you can also simply send an e-mail to your local DCI office and let them know you want to join the RPGA, but need a membership card to do so. Give them your name and address, and a card will be dropped in the mail to you. Offices are listed here: North and South America: dci@wizards.com Japan: dcijapan@wizards.com Germany & Austria: wizards@hasbro.de France: wpn@hasbro.fr Italy: wizards@hasbro.it UK & South Africa: dciuk@hasbro.co.uk Rest of Europe: custserv@hasbro.be Asia Pacific: apac@wizards.com |
