So, those already went out, right? And they're meant as player rewards?

I never got mine...and with the sweet DM Rewards tiles coming...I've reset my address multiple times, but the DCI system will never let you see the current address the system thinks you're at. So how do I know that the changes I made are the ones that I wanted to make?

They were indeed sent as DM Rewards.

While you can't see your current address to verify things, if you're concerned about making sure the "right" address is listed - you might want to contact Customer Service. Give them the address you want listed, and they can verify that it has been entered/updated.

It would also be a good time to let them know that you didn't receive the Village of Hommlet, and you'd like to make sure you're included in the August mailing. They should be able to set you up without any fuss.

As always Customer Service is available at http://www.wizards.com/customerservice .

I just logged in to the DCI site and found that if I clicked "My Rewards", they showed that the reward mailing went out and to which address it went to. Your results may vary, but something to look at.

Did anyone get their DM Rewards tiles yet, or is it still too early?

Haven't gotten mine yet, and I haven't heard of anyone getting theirs yet, either.

I wonder if the "Sent" date reflects the actual beginning of the mailing, or when their database people pull the list (and deduct points) before sending the list on to whoever does the actual mailing (I wouldn't be surprised if they hire a third party to mail that stuff out).

Of course... people are so excited about the ship tiles... when you could use this!

Whip that sucker out at a Con and watch the players ooo and ahhh.

I tried to make one of those (smaller than that one) and after basically making confetti and a lot of wrong parts, I gave up... Now if I could just buy a completed ship from the start =P

I finally got around to asking CustServ about it - they said that some people did not get their Village of Hommlet mailings and it is a known issue.

So if you believe you qualified but didn't get a copy, you should ask.

Thank you, everyone, for posting concerning this matter. Discovering that some folks' not receiving VoH is a known issue eases my mind significantly, as I'm one of those who didn't receive a copy.

Anyway, I've been trying to contact customer service for well over a week now, but whenever I click that handy-dandy little "Email Us" tab in the Knowledge Base, I see this message (regardless of browser):

Our accounts management system is currently down while we make updates to our systems.
We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Can I simply e-mail wizardscusthelp at wizards and let them know, or is that an unmonitored e-mail address? Or should I be addressing my concerns to DCI at wizards instead? Or is there some other stealth addy I just don't know about?

Thanks much, everyone.

You may be able to fix (or get fixed) your access to the customer help system by following the instructions in this thread: http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1133626

Thank you both, pedr and 22_Over_7, for your help.

Silly me, I'd seen that contact info post before, but it just doesn't occur to me to actually, oh, PICK UP A PHONE and call someone anymore (22_Over_7, I'm assuming that's the article you meant for me to see?). After doing my time on the phones in tech support, I'm so phone-shy I'll spend hours trying to e-mail/chat with someone before I actually call someone.

pedr, I've posted to the thread you posted. I have my fingers crossed I'll get a quick resolution. Apparently, though, a lot of folks are/were experiencing similar problems to mine.

Thank you both again!

---Lisa

P.S. - Any word on what was the "known issue"? My boyfriend received his mod, but I didn't - and I've DM'ed waaaaay more these past six months than he!

That page is where I get to the functioning "E-mail Us" link.

Oh... gotcha.

Well, I tried the tab on that page, as well as any kind of contact link (including a "notify me if this answer gets updated" on one of the articles), but nothing's working for me.

Meh. Something's just hosed up with my account on the server side, methinks. : P

I appreciate your help, though! : )

I believe you need to log into the CustServ system first. There should also be a "Login" tab and/or a "New User" tab if you've never contacted CustServ and they don't figure out who you are based on your forum handle.

Yep, I was logged in to the customer service system. No dice.

Y'know, now that you say something about that, that was another odd behavior I noticed. I would click that tab, log in, get back to the knowledge base, and it would *still* say "Login", as if I hadn't. But I was.

Heck, maybe that's the problem right there...

_______________________________________________________________________________

Here's something a little odd I just noticed. This may or may not have anything to do with some of the account problems - it's just something to chew on.

Back when I first signed up with Wizards (2006, I think), I used a different e-mail address than my currently registered addy.

I changed to my current e-mail address 27 January 2009 - I still have the automated e-mails from WotC customer service for all the changes. Everything appeared to transition smoothly, and all my account information shows with my new address - including my sign-in information.

I subscribed to follow this thread. I just realized that the notifications of new postings to this thread are going to my original e-mail address, not my new one. Something must not have been updated, and it must be something to which the run-of-the-mill end-user cannot access, because I can't find my original e-mail address anywhere anymore in all of my WotC settings to update it to my new one. I just have to wait for a WotC rep to update it for me.

At least, that's my guess for now. We'll see.

Of course, this probably has absolutely NOTHING to do with why I didn't receive the Village of Hommlet module. ;)

Probably.

Maybe.

Possibly.

It BETTER NOT be because someone else in my household received one!

Well, thanks for letting me postulate and think out loud.

There is a long-running problem with some (looking at the thread I linked it seems like 'many') people's website accounts, which I think arose when they created the single log-in system for the forums and help system.

I don't think they've explained what the details of the problem are, but the evidence from that thread is that it's very easy for them to fix, once they identify a problem account - there just doesn't seem to be any global solution.

So if you've posted there, I'd expect to recieve an email from them very soon and that will probably get it fixed.

Did you change it in the DCI/RPGA system or in the Gleemax system? Did you go to accounts.gleemax.com and change it there? You might check that otu to see if it's changed there as that's where it needs to be changed for your thread subscriptions.

Hi, Dragon9---

Good question! I changed it in accounts.gleemax.com.

But I discovered that both my Help account and my forum account are still attached to oldemail instead of newemail. Apparently the migration didn't work for them.

When I went into accounts.gleemax.com and changed my email back to oldemail - well, wouldn't you know it! Suddenly Help started working normally and I was really logged in.

I tried going through the forum account migration again, but I got the message that the account was already migrated. So using that method to jolt the system into displaying the correct e-mail didn't work.

I changed back to newemail, and I received this message at the end of the process:

Your profile was successfully updated, however your associated Help account experienced a technical problem and has not updated correctly. This means you will not be able to access your Help account history. Please contact customer service by phone to get assistance to resolve this issue.

Now that I think about it, this message seems a little familiar. Heck, I may have received it waaaaay back when the dbs first migrated together.

*sigh* So, I changed back to oldemail for now. I'm thinking about just leaving it and calling it a day.

But to get back to the topic of this thread for a moment, I'd like to report that Ethan received my cold-email to Wizards Customer Service, asked me for some info to confirm my DCI account, and within an hour replied back with the happy news that he had ordered a replacement module for me. Yay! :D I'm very pleased with the responsiveness of Ethan and the ORC team, and gave him high marks in the survey. (As I mentioned before, I used to work phone support, so I know those questionnaires can translate into nice perks or better ratings during one's review.)

So... there it is. My Village of Hommlet mod is on its way, and we've chit-chatted about tech schmoo.

Thank you all very much for the help!
