| #1IshornFeb 07, 2009 11:54:40 | Hello, I am a member of the RPGA. I went to DDXP this year had a great time met some really nice people who are involved with the RPGA and I was wondering how I could run RPGA events like LFR or the Star Wars campaign. I am seperated from my wife and I really do not have anything to do on the weekends that I do not have my kids. I thought that judging LFR adventures or Star Wars campaign adventures would help me out during this trying time for me. I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction that would get me the information I need to run RPGA events. Thank you, Homer |

When I had the itch to play more than one or two D&D games a year, I headed to my FLGS and asked if they had an interest in running D&D in the store. At first, there was hesitance due to some people running "all day" games with 12+ people, who pretty much just used the store as their home for the day (croc-pots, loud players, acting like they owned the place in front of other customers, etc). Once I explained how RPGA sessions work, however (4(ish) hour slots open to anyone, etc) the owner's eyes lit up. Turns out he'd been looking for something like this for a long time, he just hadn't herad of the RPGA before. Three years later the RPGA is still doing really well there (though, without me lately) and we're likely to see some expansion soon as we've got a couple people interested in helping to run additional tables and bring in even more friends. |
