I had a player tell me that I put down the wrong character for him on a mod I reported. I cannot see anyway to change it in the system. Does he just need to contact customer service or how can I get this changed for him?

You or he can probably file an appeal. There is a link in the members' area to do this, although the forms you have to fill in might be slightly counter-intuitive.

How quickly these get processed in the new system is unclear - it used to take a long time and various prodding, but I'd start with that, give it a few weeks, and then contact customer service (http://wizards.custhelp.com) and/or the DCI (dci@wizards.com) if it's not fixed.

My opinion is by no means official but, It seems like as long as you keep your paperwork right from your end there really shouldn't be too much problem unless you have some odd looking calculations going on in your record. Once the database is fully up and running and a more accurate source of info, then I'd worry more about what info is in it. Getting an early start on the process probably is a good idea though.

Also, make sure the player has actually created multiple characters in the system. I had a player who played a couple games with different characters but because he had not added any to the system when the games were logged a little out of order his tracking got completely screwed up.

While that's always a good idea, it's worth noting there is an option now for the person doing the reporting to choose the "new character" option.

That way, if the player listed "Character 3" on the tracking for, but only has 1 and 2 in the system, the reporting GM can create a #3 on the fly.

I'm currently filing an appeal because one of my games was reported incorrectly for a character. I'll post when it's done telling folks how long it took.
