| #1knightwriterDec 10, 2008 11:31:06 | My home group is ready to start playing H3 Pyramid of Shadows tomorrow and I was trying to sanction it, however it's not on the list. Anyone know why or when it will be on there? Thanks and game on! |
| #2knightwriterDec 10, 2008 18:31:06 | No one knows anything about this? 24 people have looked at this thread and not a single peep? What about the guys running the show here? Don't get me wrong, love the RPGA and all that it does for the gaming community at large, but seems to me that any adventure that has been published should be on the list. I've got sanctioned gamers that want to play this adventure. Thanks for any help. |
| #3WolfStar76Dec 10, 2008 18:49:22 | 24 people isn't a very large headcount, and when questions are asked it often takes several hours to get an answer. That said the person most likely to have an answer to your question is Chris Tulach, the RPGA Content Manager. I'll be happy to pass your question along to him as best I can, but to be honest, he's a busy man, and it can take days to get enough time from him for even a "simple" question like this one - if we can get any time at all. In short, be patient, and hope for the best. ![]() [EDIT] As long as I'm going to be pestering Chris for answers about modules in the database, does anyone have any other requests about "missing" mods? I understand we're still waiting on a couple LFR mods - how's Dungeon shaping up? |
| #4knightwriterDec 10, 2008 19:25:41 | Thank you Wolfstar. You're right this isn't a large head count although this question was asked about three pages ago and was never answered there either. I'm just anxious to play this game as well as my group. Thanks for the help in asking Chris. |
| #5kenobi65Dec 10, 2008 20:06:08 | If you're running H3 for a home group, you can always just sanction it as a "D&D Home Campaign", if you'd rather not wait for it to get added to the database. |
| #6Mind_Flayer_MonkDec 12, 2008 20:02:03 | I think Scepter Tower of Spellgard is the only module that will be sanctioned for Living Forgotten Realms play if that is what you are asking. |
| #7nemediaDec 13, 2010 5:02:31 | Wow. This thread was created precisely two years ago and still there's no Pyramid of Shadows on the Event Sanctioning page. I'm about to start H3 as a public event and of course I could just signal any adv there, even "D&D Campaign (Other)" but wouldn't be nice if I could actually schedule the adv. that I'm planning to run? This way people looking for D&D to play at my town would know precisely the level and adv. I'm running. It's been two years now, people, almost to the date, that this error was reported. Please please please correct that. |
| #8kenobi65Dec 13, 2010 10:26:10 | OK, short answer: it's clear to me that this isn't an "error"...the RPGA isn't going to be putting specific "retail" adventures (or, for that matter, specific Dungeon magazine adventures) into the event ordering system any more, with the exception of adventures which have adaptations for play within an RPGA campaign, such as LFR. It's not just that particular adventure which isn't in the system...most of the other ones aren't in there, either, and that hasn't changed over the past two years. I'm also not at all sure how many players actually use the "Event Calendar" to browse for games to attend (especially for non-LFR games). Not to mention the fact that, even if you were able to specifically show that you're running Pyramid of Shadows on the RPGA Event Calendar, it wouldn't be clear to players if they were to make characters ahead of time (and via what method), or if you'll be providing pregenerated characters. Honestly, I'd advise you that, if you want to "advertise" that you're running that particular adventure as a public event, that you look at other ways to spread that information, such as Warhorn, or putting up a notice at your local game store. |
| #9nemediaDec 13, 2010 10:56:18 | Touché... And, thanks for the explanation. |
| #10Aaron_HighcolorDec 15, 2010 17:54:49 | Good chance the answer is "never" now that they are going to be stopping home game RPGA/DCI support. |
