| #1d_gibbMay 24, 2009 22:22:59 | I have another topic on this front page here, but I had another question. When I sat down to play, I was in the midst of a bit of confusion. I never received any Reward Cards even though I was playing a brand new first level character. Is this normal? If it isn't, how do I rectify the situation and get my hands on a few the legitimate way. How are they normally distributed, is it random or do the DMs hand them out as they would like? Thank you in advance. |

At the end of the year they will release a pdf with all of the cards in it and a password for you to access it. |

Up until this year, you, as a player, accumulated Player Rewards points for every RPGA-sanctioned adventure in which you played. This assumed that you had (separately) signed up for Player Rewards; just being an RPGA member wasn't enough. The RPGA would mail out Player Reward cards 3 times per year; for every 20 points you'd earned during the previous 4-month reward period, the RPGA would mail you 3 cards (each period had a set of 10 cards, and the 3 you received were randomly selected from those 10). At the beginning of this year, the RPGA ended the Player Rewards program (though they kept a rewards program for GMs). However, they're still creating new Rewards cards; you can get them in one of two ways: 1) By attending an RPGA-sanctioned convention that's receiving the RPGA's prize-support package. Those packages contain Rewards cards; it's up to the con organizer to decide how to distribute the cards. Some organizers give them to their GMs as a thank-you gift, others raffle them off during the con. 2) Twice a year, the RPGA will be issuing a PDF file that contains all of the cards that had been appearing in the convention support packages over the prior six months. All active RPGA members are supposed to be able to get access to this PDF file, from which you can print out your own cards. I'd expect that the first PDF will become available sometime late this summer or early this fall. I hope this helps explain things. |
