I've asked this a few times before and I'll ask it again. Or rather, complain about it again.

You've got a tab on the RPGA section of the site. It contains the word "Championship" as its name and it features a number of things about the Championship...

...except the winners.

Maybe you could post them. Seriously.

Unfortunately there are simply 2 RPGA employees in title and check, with the rest being volunteers (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

That said, they have the database issues to worry about before posting Championship winners I would think. Not to downplay the achievement but I'm pretty much convinced that their efforts are focused on the group at-large rather than a much smaller slice.

Not saying that I agree or disagree, just regurgitating what's already been said on the forums several times since the end of the convention.

Not to mention the fact that this year's D&D Championship scoring was about as arbitrary as it gets

I'm certainly not arguing that they shouldn't focus on the larger community, but let's face it: if the purpose of the D&D championship wasn't (in their minds) a bit larger than placating the egos of the people who won, they wouldn't have devoted *six months* of hype and updates and votes and everything else to it.

The purpose of the Championship is to build interest, I would think, in the D&D brand and the RPGA competition and its nature. It takes about twenty minutes to write a simple press-release style bit of text (less than that, actually, but let's give 'em twenty minutes). To spend six months hyping something that drew at least 500 people to participate in it and then not follow up with any reporting...sure, 500 people may seem small but it's still horrid customer service, not only to the participants but also in showing that they aren't doing what they should be doing.

Anyway, I'm ******* in the wind here, it just still irritates me.

edit: Maybe you could write your own.
