I just reported 3 tables for the Game Day and noticed that I did not get any GM rewards points for the 2 tables that I ran. Is this normal? I dont remember the last Game Day if I got points or not.

And really, if a little tiny Rust Monster doesn't warm the heart and say thanks for a job well done, then what will?

wait...I thought the policy was if you DM at a RPGA event, than you would receive DM Reward points.

Since I just got done reporting all my tables, one would beleive that my DMs would recieve credit otherwise why would the RPGA want to know who played and dm'd?

Yeah I like the minis so am not complaining there. Although at the 2 tables that I ran if you made the killing blow you kept the mini. It created some fun times at one table when the group delayed 3 rounds just to let the Paladin try and kill a Rust Monster that ate his armor.

At the moment, the database is broken. It's screwed up. FUBARed.
Yes, it sort of appears to limp along but after the 'fixes' they did to cause the visible problems who knows how cracked it is behind the scenes.

So whether or not the system is crediting you for the WWGD is meaningless simply because the random spewings of a broken system are inherently meaningless. We would all be well advised to ignore the system as a whole until we get the all clear from the powers that be.

That would all be well and good if it was not giving me credit for the LFR modules I run. Those get credited just fine.

World Wide Gameday isn't a RPGA event, though (To the best of my knowledge). At least, no RPGA symbols (Outside of the standard advertising blurb) appear anywhere on the products. This is a Marketing Event.

Yet they want you to report the event which means that you have to give out DCI cards to people that come to play that are not DCI members. Otherwise you may not get the amount of support you need for the next WWD&DGD.

I will grant that I do not have intimate knowledge of the procedure, but none of the DM's at our store were asked for DCI numbers, people who arrived to play were not asked to fill out DCI cards or register with them, and as far as I can tell, all the FLGS had to do was request the amount of packets for the GD.

I am not saying that you are wrong, and that is not the case, but I've just not seen any evidence to that end.

(That said, I did recommend to players who had the time to come down and join the local RPGA events that we hold weekly at our store. It is my hope that those who have not gotten involved will consider getting more involved. If nothing else, they seemed interested in the next Game Day.)

I gathered up all DCI/RPGA numbers and handed about 7 new cards out at my event. I will be reporting it today sometime.

I don't care about reward points, I got a rust monster and a map that is 10 kinds of awesome (very reusable map there). We all had a very good time, thanks for making a easy to run/play adventure, and I am looking forward to the next one in August?

WPN sent out emails to all of the event organizers giving them instructions on how to report the events. From your post its sad that we will have a bunch of the events not reported at all. Which means it will be difficult for WOTC to gauge the success of the events, which could lead to them limiting them or doing away with them all together.

I would not leave this up to your FLGS to order and organize. I would have someone in your local RPGA group be the one to order the events and then work with the FLGS for gaming space and times etc. That is how we do it. I order the event and then I go to the 2 FLGS' here locally and work on getting space and setting up times. We even make up fliers that we leave and post at the stores with the times etc.

When I look at the GD entry under My Events, it says
Adventure Reward Points
2009 Worldwide D&D Game Day MM2 1

But it isn't being totaled under My Rewards.
I think their intention is to reward points, but there is a database error?

I'm putting Trevor the Kidd on the case.

I'll see if we can glean any new insight into points being awarded/not awarded.

My PERSONAL assumption?

I suspect we're SUPPOSED to get points, but what the database is/isn't doing may be another issue entirely.

I have the same problem with my MM2 GameDay Event.
After reporting I recieve a email that I recieve 2 Reward Points but they do not show up on the My Reward Page.
I've contacted wisard (germany) but they do not know what WPN DM Reward Points are!
So I had to tell them how the DM Reward Programm is working.... and now waiting for answer.
The 2 Reward Points are not realy interesting for my cause I earn enough Reward Point for my Home Events and the miniatures and the adventure are reward enough for me.
But, I think, the points and the new players count for my coordinator status!?

btw. will they check the DCI numbers of the players, because none of them play'd in an public event before - so this will count to my coordinator status, too?

I followed up with Trevor, and he's confirmed that we *should* get points for running the Game Day.

He's going to forward my incident on to the WPN database team to see where things are broken (write your own jokes, people) and see if it can't be corrected.

Aww, c'mon, that's a softball waiting to be smacked!

I won't do it, it's too easy!

I just started this whole RPGA event thing and so far it's been like... well let me illustrate

If I could get my characters to show up on my DCI/RPGA login or find a link that allowed me to ask for help that worked it might make it a bit easier.

As far as MM2 game day, well I was never even asked for my DCI#. At least I got a mini.

There is not need to enter any character info unless you play LFR. And the way the database is split currently you would need to put your characters in under both private and public play. I havent checked to see if they have corrected the database problem yet.

Edit: After checking the database it looks like if you play LFR you just need to enter your characters into the Private Play D&D section. No matter whether the GM ordered it as Private or Public when they report it it appears to all show under the Private Play section.
