Anyone know of/created a d20 Superhero theme?

Mar 21, 2008 11:17:52 Heya, I was wondering if anyone knows of rules for super hero based d20? I am a D&D vet and most of my friends are fairly competent. We would like to play a classic superhero style game (Capes, superpowers secret identities etc.).

We like the look of superheros unlimited but the mechanics just weren't as fun, well thought out and quick as d20.

So can someone point me in the right direction? None of has enough time in our lives to create a whole set of rules for it ourselves.

Mar 21, 2008 14:01:24 Have you tried Mutants and Masterminds?, it has rules for the different superhero ages (silver age, golden age etc).

If memory serves you pick a basic archetype and then customize it by buying new powers and so forth.

It also has some pre-generated NPC villains that you can use.

Silver Age Sentinels d20 by Guardians of Order.
Blood and Vigilance d20 by RPG Object (also a d20 Modern version).
Four-Color to Fantasy d20 Superhero Toolkit by EN Publishing.

Mutants & Masterminds by Green Ronin Publishing.

Godlike is also fantastic, but its d20 conversion in the back isn't a fourth as awesome as its built-in system. (Its sequel, Wild Talents, is the other contender for best superhero game ever.)

BESM d20 has too many bizarre problems. It's also unbalanced as all hell.

May 30, 2008 9:23:11 I liked the Silver Age Sentinals rule set....although i read and read the book, it made soooo much more sense once i printed out a character sheet very similar to the D&D ones. lol The standard ones it comes with are garbage.
