Call of Cthulhu question.

Feb 18, 2011 12:27:21		I am basically looking to run Call of Cthulhu in Ravenloft and I want to know if anyone has any idea where I can find maps of some of H.P. Lovecrafts places that isn't modern day.  So we are talking Arkham, Miskatonic and I can't remember the name of the other one right now.  So if you are a Call of Cthulhu fan and have put your players through what I'm about to put them through please get back to me.  Thank you fellow gamers.

the Arkham county/Lovecraft country are has a number of maps - in Lovecraft's fictional world it is part of Massachusetts, 1920s-30s.  Some might be found google style.

There are maps of Arkham, Kingsport, Innsmouth, Dunwich spread across various Chaosium suppliments for the BRP system version of the game (there are other Cthulhu game systems - d20/Gumshoe) and a quick search on Amazon for H. P. Lovecraft's Arkham/Dunwich etc should bring up the relevent titles.  However, I'm not sure that they would be what you're looking for as they are defintiely set in the 1920s real-world.

A good place to go to ask these kind of questions is Yog-Sothoth.com - they know pretty much everything about Cthulhu RPing over there.

Hope you find what you're looking for.  Lovecraftian horror is rich for role-playing, regardless of the system/setting.  You might also want to check out the nWoD White Wolf system and especially the Second Sight book or Pelgrane Press' Trail of Cthulhu.  The HP Lovecraft Historical Society is also a fun website full of cool prop downloads, and Nox Arcana, Midnight Syndicate and Musica Cthuulhiana do some good ackground music for horro rpging.

There is also a D&D4e Lovecraftian bestiary published by Goodman Games (IIRC) that you might want to check out.

Feb 20, 2011 9:21:01 		Thank you.  You gave me some good stuff to work with.  I've looked on the Chaosium website before and wasn't able to find a map pack, which is weird because you figure they would have something like that.  At any rate thank you again for your suggestions.
