Feb 04, 2009 11:02:17 Has anyone played Call of Cthulu? I heard that it uses the d20 system now and I absolutely love H.P. Lovecraft! I am curious about it and would love to start playing it. If anyone has any information on the game, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! ^-^

Feb 04, 2009 18:31:00 My roommate is currently running a weekly d20 CoC game. It's interesting. I don't enjoy the game much but that's because I can't get into horror RPGs. I've tried. I join in every now and then but I only last a session or two. Everyone else is really enjoying the game.

The game is currently out of print so you're going to have to look around. I suggest eBay, half.com, craigslist, and the various OOP game stores. If there's a half-price books near you, you might find it there. My roommate works for the company and has managed to acquire 4 or 5 copies in the last 6 months or so.

Feb 05, 2009 8:55:57 Ah okay. Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware it was out of print. The whole concept of a sanity meter intrigued me. I'll definitely check out ebay.

Feb 05, 2009 11:11:29 If you're just looking for some sanity rules, check out Unearthed Arcana for DnD. You can also find the same rules here. I haven't compared them but they look similar to each other.
