I was wondering what kind of a mechanic that would be? We worked out something like a touch attack to their neck, opposed by a strength check to break free, then they get a strength check each round, or an escape artist check to break free while "drowning". Does this sound about right or is there a better way to do it? |

For example I had an exactly the same problem a while back. I was playing a paladin, and we got into a stupid PvP (our warlock got "possessed" and was fighting against us) Anyway, the other guy had a cloak of "wings" that grew out of his back that enabled him to fly. I pinned him down and I wanted to break off the wings so he could fly away. I was told that there is no way I am allowed to do that, and the bad guy escaped. I would say that your hanging could be considered to be a coup de grace (critical hit, and they have to make some sort of save.) |
