Just a place for people to give some of their fun/funny memories from D&D (and other RPGs if you want) sessions. Two decent examples (only ones that come to mind right now) are when my brother was the DM, and I was a half orc barbarian, getting a few friends to try out D&D for the first time. I had my good friend and level 1 sorc with me trying to sneak into the house of the man who supposedly had hired goblins to kill my buddy's parents, to try and find out whats going on. I see a window, and a climbable chimney and get an idea, but as soon as I am about to start my trek, he walks up and casts mending with the same enthusiasm as you might see on Dragon Ball Z. I guess he thought it would make it easier to scale. Anyways, we wind up getting inside via other means to discover his wife and 4ish year old daughter were home. I quickly jump forward to hold down the wife so she doesn't run outside screaming, then the daughter walks around the corner. I guess he thought I was trying to attack the woman, so his first reaction was to run forward and knock out the little girl! critical hit.....thats all I'm gonna say. Secondly and a shorter story. My level two cleric who was a 100% healer, 8 strength I think it was...attacked from behind by a lion. Lion initiates grapple, I look around, the party was a paladin charger and an unconscious wizard with no spells. Figured I should grab the bull by the horns. I to date can't believe that I managed to pin that lion. Coup de gras = 1-hit KO :D |

We were attacked by a Devil basically out of nowhere, and I won Initiative, so I Smote Evil, and Critically Hit the evil being, and dealt somewhere in the region of 70 damage, killing it outright. The DM complained that the encounter was supposed to be hard, but saw the cool/funny side later. |
