Feb 24, 2012 21:56:31 In the very begginging of DND with Gygax (or however you spell it) he play tested at Cal-Tech. When Gygax went off to create the 1st edition of DND Cal-Tech created there own version of DND called Warlock Edition. I still run a semi-active group that plays only Warlock. I was wondering if anyone had ever heard or played Warlock before?

Feb 25, 2012 11:51:20 OK, first of all it is old, really old. When I am going through the manuals now I have to ducktape pages together and the pages are yellow. The defference between the 1st edition of DND and Warlock was Warlock simplified combat and made the rest of the game more.... do whatever you want. The versions of DND now have made everything more complicated, which some people like. Warlock however is still simple. Instead of doing 2 enocunters in 3 hours (that is just my experiance) you can do 10 enocunters in 3 hours. The dungeons move quicker but there is not as much customization in your charecter. It leaves alot of your skills and backstory unimportant and up the imagingation.
