Hey, So I want to know what it would take to create this item I had in mind and how much it would cost. I want it to be a brace that looks like a scorpion.  The legs wrap around to hold around the arm.  Then have it be able to extend out.  The head and front 2 claws shoot forward.  I want to be able to use it to grab objects from a distance, hold enemies against the wall by their throats, and perhaps be able to pull myself up like a grappling gun.  I don't know what components would be required in order to craft this item, nor do I know how much it would cost, or the skills that would be necessary. Can someone please shed some light on this idea for me for d&d 3.5? I got the idea from this old sci-fi show Lexx, where the undead assasin, Kai, uses it for the same purposes, well... and to kill people.
