| #1scottish_houndSep 04, 2008 8:39:43 | this might not be the place for this but i want to post it anyway. my school has an RPG club, we play everything from D&D to starwars to GURPS. recently our number have dwindled, so i was hoping some one could give me some advice on recruiting new players. im sure there are people out there who dont even know what an RPG truly is. the rest of my group would love more people but we don't know how to convince people they should try it or that if there interested they should play with us, many say they don't have the time even though our group meets on Fridays and for the most part is a come and good as you want group. any suggestions? |

Each member has to bring a someone that has never been to this club before, have some snacks and run a few tables with quick into runs, maybe limit them to 15min each table/game. You can have RPG's, a few board games, maybe a few card games (Lunch Money FTW). Just make sure you have the right people running them. The first impression is the most important. you have to have the right DM, that mixes humor with evoking a great setting. For the card games, you have to have someone who is willing to be loud and fun and over the top to get the players into it. Anywho... my two cents. Angel Blade |

Then have the club sponsor the event, if the stores don't want new customers and increasing profit margin. |
