Shield enchanted as both armor and weapon

I know that a Shield can be enchanted with Armor properties such as Animated and Invulnerability.  I also understand that a shield can be used as a weapon.

Is it possible for a shield to be enchanted with Armor properties as well as be enchanted with Weapon properties?  Like can you have a +5 animated (armor property) defending (weapon property) shield?

Also, if the above is true, can a shield activate both its armor and weapon properties at the same time (with respect to their activation requirements)? Like can a shield that has its animated property activated still be able to activate its defending property if it's not being used in an attack?

Yes, but remember it has to be at least a +1 weapon in order to receive weapon enhancements and at least a +1 shield to receive shield enhancements.

As long as you have the actions to activate it you can use both. For instance a monk holding a +5 defending bastard sword could use the defending ability at any time even with Flurry of Blows (assuming he uses all unarmed strikes) so long as he has a free action.
