| #1bilbo49Aug 18, 2010 14:53:17 | I know that a Shield can be enchanted with Armor properties such as Animated and Invulnerability. I also understand that a shield can be used as a weapon. Is it possible for a shield to be enchanted with Armor properties as well as be enchanted with Weapon properties? Like can you have a +5 animated (armor property) defending (weapon property) shield? Also, if the above is true, can a shield activate both its armor and weapon properties at the same time (with respect to their activation requirements)? Like can a shield that has its animated property activated still be able to activate its defending property if it's not being used in an attack? |
| #2death_isthe_beginingAug 18, 2010 23:30:09 | Yes, but remember it has to be at least a +1 weapon in order to receive weapon enhancements and at least a +1 shield to receive shield enhancements. As long as you have the actions to activate it you can use both. For instance a monk holding a +5 defending bastard sword could use the defending ability at any time even with Flurry of Blows (assuming he uses all unarmed strikes) so long as he has a free action. |
