#1 jedi_richard Apr 05, 2011 15:47:32	This seemed like the best place for this thread.  I was just wondering what happened to Star Wars Saga edition.  It seemed to be popular and then all at once Wizards stopped making new books, pulled down all its forums and support for the game and I can't seem to find out what happened.  I've heard the license was lost but the complete freezing of all support seemed weird, was it a controversial split? I should point out that I've been a role-player for years and actually ran Saga edition for many months after it came out a few years ago but then my group switched to Vampire the Masquerade and only recently have we been getting back in to d20 games.  I've been meaning to look this information up for a while but keep forgetting.  Does any one know what happened?  Any rumors about Wizards or any other RPG company possibly picking up the license again for a new Star Wars role-playing game? Oh and as long as I have your attention what happened to the Star Wars and D&D miniature lines?  Those both seemed to stop suddenly too.  I assume Star Wars ended the same time as the RPG but why stop making the D&D minis?

SOmeone at WotC (or Hasbro) decided that shelling out the money required to renew the the licensing agreement with Lucasfilm wasn't worth it. This frees up money and man-hours to work with products that do not require a licensing agreement. However, there is still a SW RPG section to these forums: community.wizards.com/go/forum/viewcateg...
