| #1inkblotJun 04, 2008 17:03:12 | The great proponderance of forced movement effects in 4th Edition D&D make it great for recreating some of the fun of Super Smash Bros. ITT, I post homebrew SSBB conversions. Like everybody but the designers and playtesters themselves, my 4th Edition experience is limited, so this is all a big work-in-progress. Smash Rule Any time you are hit for 1/4 your hit points or more in a single blow, your attacker can choose to push you one square. When you are bloodied, effects which push you push you one additional square. When you fall to 0 or fewer hit points, you don't fall unconscious and risk dying. However, effects which push you push you two additional squares, and you don't get to make a saving throw to avoid being forced to move over a ledge. When you have negative hit points equal to your bloodied score, you fall unconscious and begin dying as normal. So, for example, let's say Mark has 80 hit points. He gets hit for 23 points of damage and goes pushed back five feet (one square). He then gets hit for 20 points of damage, is bloodied, and gets knocked back 10 feet (two squares). He gets hit again for 50 damage, is at -13 HP, and goes flying back 15 feet (three squares).
Palutena's Bow Level x+ This bow is strung with a beam of light, and two scimitar blades form it's arms. Lvl + ,gp Lvl + ,gp Lvl + ,gp Lvl + ,gp Lvl + ,gp Lvl + ,gp Weapon: Bows, Scimitar Enhancement: Attack rolls and damage rolls Critical: +1d6 radiant damage per plus Power (At-Will): Minor action. Palutena's bow can be separated into two scimitars. Another minor action rejoins them. Each scimitar has the same enhancement bonus as the bow. Power (At-Will * Divine, Radiant): Free Action. You can use this power instead of drawing ammunition. You create a glowing arrow of light and immediately fire it. Arrows of light deal radiant damage. The arrow dissipates after striking. Power (Encounter * Divine, Weapon, Radiant): Standard action. Make a ranged basic attack with Palutena's bow. The attack ignores cover, but not superior cover. Special: Palutena's bow can be used as a holy symbol by her worshipers. It adds its enhancement bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls when used in this manner. You do not gain your weapon proficiency bonus to an attack roll when using Palutena's bow as an implement.
DREAMLANDER Dreamlander is Kirby's and Metaknight's race. Kirby has powers which are too powerful for a 1st level character, so I had to invent a new mechanic for playing something which would have had a level adjustment in 3.5e. Copy Power is probably overpowered, but I'd like to hope the limitations I put on it will keep it from being game-breaking.
Average Height: 3'4" - 3'8" Average Weight: 20-30 lb. Ability Scores: +2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma Size: Small Speed: 6 squares Vision: Normal Languages: Common Skill Bonuses: +2 Athletics, +2 Acrobatics Light As Air: You take 5 less damage from falling. Effects which pull, push, or slide you move you one extra square. Enhale: You can use Enhale as an encounter power. Inflate: At 8th level, you can choose to swap one utility power you know in exchange for Inflate. Copy Power: At 10th level, you can choose to swap one daily attack power you know in exchange for Copy Power. Enhale Dreamlander Racial Power Gale force winds draw enemies into your gaping mouth. Encounter Standard Action Close blast 3 Targets: All creatures in area Attack: Constitution vs. Fortitude Hit: Pull the target 2 squares. In addition, one target who is adjacent to you after being pulled becomes grabbed and takes 1d6 + Constitution modifier damage. When you end the grab (but not if the target escapes), push the target 4 squares. If pushing it would place it an occupied space, make a secondary attack against any creature in that space. Secondary Attack: Constituion +2 vs. AC 1d6 + Constitution modifier damage. Inflate Dreamlander Racial Power You puff up like a balloon and float on the wind. At-Will Standard Action Personal Effect: Fly 5 squares. If you don't land at the end of your action, you fall. Copy Power Dreamlander Racial Power You enhale an enemy and duplicate it's abilities. Daily * Reliable Standard Action Ranged 3 Targets: One creature of your level or lower Attack: Constitution +2 vs. Fortitude Hit: Pull the target 2 squares. If the target ends adjacent to you it is grabbed, and takes 1d6 + Constitution modifier damage. Effect: When you end the grab (but not if the target escapes) choose one at-will or encounter attack power the target knew. Until the end of the encounter, you can use that power exactly as if you were the creature you copied it from. If the power used anatomy or equipment you don't possess then you gain a facsimile of the anatomy or equipment which only functions while using the chosen power and disappears at the end of the encounter. Reliable: If you miss with Copy Power, you don't expend your use of it.
|
