| #1mrwolfMar 30, 2008 9:25:57 | I've been playing around with running a game set in the Heroes setting. Any ideas as to which system/game to use? So far I've been debating over: Marvel Saga Batman the Roleplaying game (which is basically DC Heroes) Marvel Super Heroes Marvel Universe Mutants and Masterminds Cortex (with a very simple system of minor/major abilities) |

| #4mrwolfMar 30, 2008 21:27:52 | Heroes Unlimited from Palladium Aberrant is a great system, but we played a proper Aberrant game and the players are sorta burnt on storyteller. Heroes Unlimited, I'm afraid, is not an option. I'm not a fan of Palladium's crunchy-ness (although I'm hopeful for Robotech's new streamlined system). Four Color might work. Thanks. |

I had more fun playing V&V than any other supers game - though it certainly could have been because I had great GMs and fellow players. Long live the Flying Lamprey! |

So far I've been debating over: I think I would use either Abberant (the d10 version) Biff! Bam! Pow! (a free Superhero RPG. Really awesome) or Gurps Supers (As it allows for better normal people type starts) |

That's not a bad idea. I HAVE the game so it'll be easiest. Thing is, my players, while they liked the system ok, didn't feel it did justice to the ACTUAL Marvel universe. Maybe Heroes will be a better fit. |

HERO SYSTEMS 5TH ED / CHAMPIONS http://www.herogames.com/home.htm;jsessionid=af9NsMQdFmyc IT CAN APPEAR INTIMIDATING BUT ONCE YOU GET THE HANG OF IT, IT'S THE BEST BAR NON . IN FACT WHEN I SAW THE FIRST FEW EPISODES I FELT LIKE SHOULD RUN A "HEROES" BASED GAME. |
| #12natanaxMay 20, 2008 11:00:07 | Heroes Unlimited is great if you want a system you can screw around with. It's both super specific and super general and you can do a lot with some improvisation and ignorance of some of the rules. Though the Skill System sucks mega-balls. |
