It also did some cheezy stuff sometimes like firing ensnaring bolts and whatnot. Their was Eric who was the snarky cavalier and he wielded a shield that could project force fields. I'm sure somethng akin to this exists, even a simple Shield of protection which grants you and nearby allies DR could be akin to this. Cavaliers existed in older editions and were particurally cool in 2e. |

As nice as the set is, the mini-module uses the sh!tty v.3.5 rules, so it has more junk (rules) then fluff. If it used old-school rules, there would have been more room for more workable descriptions, and would have kept the general feel of the 80's. They also opt for those funny-looking D&D Miniature tiles, instead of the old grid-paper look, which holds more area and looks better. Note, that there was a 2nd edition book that had a Cavalier, Acrobat, and Barbarian class, but they where really pointless and needlessly complex. Here are the basic stats from the booklet (all characters are 7th level): Hank the Ranger: LG Ranger (15 years old) (I use the Fighter class, as he dose not play-out like a lame-ass D&D Ranger) Energy Bow: +2 Comp. Longbow. Does 2d6 points of magic force. (personally, I just have it fire magic missiles) Eric the Cavalier: NG Fighter (15) Griffin Shield: +2 bashing heavy steel shield, with Otiluke's resilient sphere at a 10' radius. Diana the Acrobat: LG Monk (14, and damn well worth it! )Javelin Staff: +2 ki strike quarterstaff, with +5 Jump, +4 Str for trip attacks. Albert "Presto" the Magician: NG Wizard (12) Hat of Many Things: Acts as a rod of wonder. Sheila the Thief: NG Rogue (13, and makes me fell so guilty! )(ah, back in the days when rogues were called "thieves") Cloak of Invisibility: (see cloak of invisibility in whatever book you are using) Bobby the Barbarian: CG Barbarian (8) Thunder Club: +2 greatclub, +4 Str. (sounds like a really bad euphemism) Uni the Young Unicorn: LG, 3HD unicorn. Venger: NE male half-fiend human Sorcerer 13/Archmage 5. (1,000+ years old) I hope you find this helpful? |
