Feb 29, 2012 17:09:58 I am sure that I probably aren't the first to think about this, but as I was unable to locate any threads regarding this, I will write one.
My group and I are about to take on a new adventure in 3.5 and I wanted to play the Warforged race, as I had just watched the adventure of the robot chicken where Chris Perkins was the DM. But a problem came up a little later when I started to think about the mind of these creatures. A living construct, as far as I am aware, these warforged, have feelings and morality but they choose to disregard the ethics tied to the desicions thus leading to my initial question.

Playing a warforged barbarian. Are they actually able to enrage? And if so, doesn't it seem odd in a way?

Jun 08, 2012 23:20:49 Doesn't seem odd at all. They are sentient beings. Your character doesn't have to follow the general rules for warforged morality, either. Those are for NPC's. PC's are not the rule, they are the exception.

Jun 12, 2012 1:57:00 Warforged are Living constructs, they have emotions, as strange and alien as they can appear to fleshies at times. So yes a warforged can become enraged. As for an actual berserker There are several options, It's an overdrive mode that can't be sustained indefinetely, It's the fury of the souls used to create warforged, it's a symptom of PTSD, etc.
