What was the moment when your character was at their scariest?

Or, to put it another way, what was the absolute scariest interrogation/use of intimidation you've ever roleplayed as a PC or, if a DM/GM, as an NPC?

Bonus points if other participants at the table still remember the event, or you played a notoriously "good guy".

The system itself doesn't matter, but clever use of the rules do.

When I came up with an Elf Paragon/Wizard/Swashbuckler, using flaws and traits, with Abberant Feats. As my character concept. Fly speed 20 feet. At level one. And base land speed of fourty feet at the same time.

That's not what I was looking for.

My character was actually at his scariest on accident.

Immediately following a battle where one of the other PCs was killed (in a campaign without ressurection unless a deity performed it), two of the enemies had managed to survive. While the others were waking them up, my character was in the next room, getting over the fact that his best friend had been killed (he took it harder than the others).

So here comes this warblade, covered in the blood of his enemies and his best friend, gore-soaked and ****** off, greatsword out, and just pushes passed the party. The one badguy that was awake got to see him whip the sword out, impale the unconscious guy and kill him, leaving the sword pinning his corpse to the ground, and then picked him up by the throat, slammed him into a wall and just demands in a low growl to know the location of their headquarters.

DM decided I didn't have to roll the Intimidate check.

Oh. Sorry about that. My scariest character ever would have to be an NPC I ran called... the Dwarven Fishmonger. Just when my PC thought he was free of it, he pounced! "Hello, would you like to buy an electric eel? There lovley fresh! Here, try one!" He said, before hitting the PC repeatadly on the face with an electric eel. What made it scary was that it occured in a cave where no one had ever entered at all.

A Warlock of mine once pricked a prisoner with a "poisoned" needle and held up a vial, offering the "antitoxin" if the prisoner answered his questions. The guy spilled his guts and was given the vial. He promptly drank the entire vial. It turned out to be acid. The needle had no poison.

Oh crap, I didn't realize the first page went back 2 months.

I had this wizard, and i used transmute rock to mud, and then transmute mud to rock, then this bad guy was hip deep in rock, and helpless. I told him if he didn't spilled out the location of his master's whereabouts i'd summon a swarm of bees to sting his face until he said. After the first round, he told us. :D
