Trying to figure out how the 3E cleric domains in the FRCS book translate to the new 5E cleric domains.
For example, in the 3E FRCS book Tymora is listed as having the domains of Chaos, Good, Luck, Protection and Travel, but in the new 5E Player's Handbook she is noted as only having the Trickery domain. 
So, has anyone come up with a better idea of how the 3E FR domains might translate to 5E?
Well, considering how there are 131 domains in 3.5, several of which are completely collapsible (Magic and Spell, Mental and Mind, Ocean and Water, etc) and almost utterly forgettable (did you know there's a Blackwater or Seafolk or Celerity or Balance or Kobold or Speed or Herald or Drow domains? Without looking them up, can you spot which one(s) in that list that I made up?), you'd be better off following the FR deity guidelines from the back of the 5e PHB.
Domains in 5e are individually more significant, but a lot of that comes from refluffing. In this case, look at what the Protection, Good, and Travel domains actually granted you. Chances are everything you're looking for is already in the basic cleric list. The Chaos and Luck domains are more or less lumped together under Trickery.
You also only get one domain in 5e while you got two in 3.x. Which means that domains are more compact. I don't think that there is a quick/easy way to convert old domains to the new format.
If the listed domains don't fit your fancy then I'd recommend working with the GM to modify an existing domain with spells that are approperate. That's what I'm doing for my Umberlee Cleric. When the Elemental Evil PDF came out I decided to change up the Tempest domain spell list with some that are more flavorful for the Queen of the Deep. I traded out the wintery storm spells and Insect Plague for new water spells that felt more flavorful for my character.
I want to create a Cleric of Auppenser. Eventually - I'm going to have to wait until 5e Psionic Handbook comes out.
(His 3e Domains: Balance, Mentalism, Protection, Strength. The first two give the distinctive Auppenser flavor.)
