I was looking over the warlock (chain pact) - The evil familiars seem generally more powerful, but who really wants evil incarnate whispering sweet murder in their ears every night you go to sleep.. "shiver". Reading up on the Sprite I thought he could be a really helpful little guy to have around. The ultimate in  stealthy scouting, he reminded me of the little guy in the Dresden books .. Toot? Have to pay him with Pizza! lol

The Heart Sense would be awesome trying to discern the motives of people you come across, and I am wondering just how useful their "Poison Brewing" ability would be? Any suggestions on how much utility you might get from that..

Also, if you found say a cloak of elvenkind, and decided to give it to your sprite (the DMG states clothing generally shifts size to fit a creature of any size of build) .. do you think that would work ? I assume when familiars die from the spell desciption they "Puff away" with all their equipment and when resummoned would have its equipment again.. ?

Any other cool familiar suggestions ?

Hey! Listen!

Do an old standby: Climb into a bag of holding (possibly with a bottle of air) and use Voice of the Chain Master. You're now speaking and sensing out of a tiny flying creature that, for most purposes, is you. You can even use the familiar's ability to deliver touch spells for you if your spell doesn't require line of effect from you to the target (since even though you're seeing through your familiar, you're still casting from inside a bag). When you do need to reappear, you basically have your familiar throwing a container to the ground and having something much larger come out of it - although I would be less than amused if the sprite shouts "warlock, I choose you!", it might go over well at some tables.. Play it right and you can convince your team that you are the sprite, and "the big guy is with me".
