From what I have seen in the monster manual, many abilities have words like 'innate spellcasting','magic' 'magical', ' magically', 'spell attack' in their abilities' description.
I would rule that anti-magic field protects you from them.
There are a few oddities such as medusa's gaze which doesn't contain the these keywords while creatures with similar abilities such as basilisk and cockatrice do.
I would also rule them to be affected by anti-magic field.
Then we come to abilities with no keywords and don't have creatures with similar abilities with the keywords. These include breath weapons( dragons, behirs, mephits) , infernal wound( devils), frightful presence and life drain.
I would rule that anti-magic field have no effect against them.
Now , how would you guys handle these abilities against anti-magic field? Like how they are in previous edition?

| (Reply to #2)1eejit | Abilities without keywords should work in antimagic field.
Check out the demilich. All of the demiliches abilities lack keywords such as "spell", "casting", "magic". Their lair actions includes creating an antimagic field.
Clearly that is meant to be to the advantage of the demilich, together with their immunity to nonmagical weapons. |

But that may vary setting-to-setting, but Draconomicons have explored dragon anatomy and breath weapon "sacs" as it were. So they're totes cool, to me. Same goes for other breath weapon things like a fire beetle or Ankheg. A fearful presence is nonmagical, to me, for some creatures, unless it's some sort of pixie using it as a fear-like spell.
I mean, if I saw a dragon in real life, I'd use my "interact with an object" action to poop my pants...
But this is another instance of them being ambiguous and leaving it up to the DM (either by design or by mistake. I think it's intentional this time, though!). Though you can certainly use older editions as a guidline (Supernatural, Spell-like, and Extraordinary) |

As is anything which is described as "magical" or similar anywhere in the ability description, such as the Marilith's teleport Looking at the MM, they seem pretty good at mentioning this.
