AoE & Damage

Thunderwave states "Each creature in a 15-foot cube originating from you must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d8 thunder damage and is pushed 10 feet away from you." Do I roll 2d8 for each creature or do I roll 2d8 and apply the result to each creature?

Roll the 2d8 once. Each creature then gets a roll to save (or not) against the single damage value and being pushed.

Technically, they each make a saving throw before the damage roll, although I usually wouldn't bother slowing the game down for that.
