Armor +1 & Ring of Protection +1 do they stack (to AC)?

I haven't read anywhere that magical items don't stack.  Though perhaps we will have more information on that in the DMG with all the item related stuff.  So for now I would say that yes they do stack.

one changes your base AC and one gives a bonus to AC so I think they do

also theres no +1 on the ring name I noticed so I think theres only one version( no +2 model)

Because it is the simpler approach, there are no bonus types and thus all bonuses apply to what they say they apply to regardless of any other bonuses. (So yes, they do "stack".)

That said, there is a hard limit as to how many items a character can be attuned to (3) and items which provide benefits that might easily get out of hand require attunement in order to receive those benefits (in this case, the +1 armor doesn't require attunement, but the ring of protection does).

Only items that specify as such require attunement. +1 Armor is not one of them.

They stack, as would a +1 shield on top of that. The 3 item limit per character is supposed to keep item stacking from becoming a serious problem. Only time will tell if it does.
