Magic Item crafting isn't for every game and going back to the old way of not listing magic items in the Player's Handbook is a good thing IMO. By including magic items in the Player's Handbook, players will grow to expect to find magic items and expect certain items rather than be pleasantly surprised when they find something magical. The DM would be free to allow magic item creation of course and I'm sure it will be in the DMG. |
