I do wish there was a fifth class included in the basic rules, though.
I vote lore bard.

I am not a fan of multiclassing (after 2nd Edition, at least), is the takeaway here. I think the space and word count could have been far better used on something else. But I am sure that there are parts of the game I like which others feel should have been cut, so there you have it. |
| #4IllithidbixJun 29, 2015 17:47:50 | Nope.
They're a layer of compexity that isn't really suiting the point of the Basic Rules.
I rather like the fact they've stuck big labels with "Optional Rules" and "DM's permission". It's entirely redundant with the ethos of the groups I play in, but a good idea none the less. |
| #5Rya.ReisenderJun 30, 2015 6:41:53 | Nope, multiclassing is too complex for the basic rules. |
| #6JackOfAllTiradesJun 30, 2015 13:26:27 | The worst part about the Multiclassing rules is that they're actually far more complex (in play) than they look (in writing), which would make them a poor choice for inclusion in the basic rules, IMHO. |
| #7Thoughts_My_AimJun 30, 2015 13:49:13 | Put me down as another one for "no". There's plenty in the basic rules. |
| #8AvrossJul 02, 2015 9:46:33 | Personally, I'd like to see the Basic Rules become even more lightweight. With the ease of finding things on the internet, I find that the real value of the Basic Rules is not for people who 'can't afford the book', but more for people who just want to 'keep it simple'. |
