#1 gopesh11 Oct 12, 2014 16:40:29	This ability is worded odd.  Use before or after your roll... as long as its before the effects are applied.   Does the Battle Master know if he hit or miss before deciding to precise attack?   The ability is worded way less specific than Bardic Inspiration.  But its worded to talk about the effect... I can only assume the effect implies rolling of damage dice   (i.e. you don't know whether you rolled good damage or not and get to use that to determine whether you use precise strike)
#2 Plaguescarred1 Oct 13, 2014 6:54:39	I believe Precision Attack can be used after the attack roll determines whether it hits or misses, as it specifically says you use it before any effects of the attack are applied  i.e miss effect.    Its also better if it avoid a PC wasting it on an attack that was already hitting anyways IMO
