#1 mibDG007 Apr 06, 2015 0:58:57	Let's say my 10th Level Moon Druid wildshaped into an Earth Elemental, grappled a creature, then burrowed straight down 30ft, dragging the creature along with them. Then next turn they released the grapple and moved 30ft away.  1) Can you drag grappled creatures along with you while Burrowing? 2) Would you trigger an attack of opportunity if you left someone entombed in the earth? 3) If someone is buried alive in this fashion, would they not begin suffocating (assuming they need to breathe)?
#2 EmpactWB Apr 06, 2015 1:52:14	1) Yes.   2) Yes, as far as I can tell by RAW. I may not try it as a DM.   3) Yes, for the Earth Elemental case anyway. Some monsters specify that their tunnels remain, like the Blue Dragon (who can explicitly collapse them to do this after the fact).

From there I would say dragging someone into the earth with you would be dependent on the targets current HP and the Elementals damage potential. Roll for your Slam Attack and if the target still had more than a few HP left then they resist being pulled underground. Thematically I like your idea but I wouldn't bypass a targets HP totally  (fair is fair, how would you take it if your character was killed in a similar manner and still had full HP?)
#6 jaelis Apr 06, 2015 9:42:53	I wouldn't let an elemental earth glide someone into solid rock or the like. A mundane burrowing creature would be reasonable enough.   Moving a Grappled Creature. When you move, you can drag or carry the grappled creature with you, but your speed is halved, unless the creature is two or more sizes smaller than you.
