Does a burrowed creature provoke Opportunity Attacks? I would say, starting to burrow near an enemy does cause one, moving underneath one doesn't.
What are the attack penalties for attacking a burrowed creature? 3/4 cover probably makes the most sense, I wouldn't want to use disadvantage because you could argue that they are prone while burrowing. I don't think I would rule that burrowed creatures can't be attacked unless it's a specific monster where that would make sense.
I'm thinking about giving my players a pair of Mole's Gloves (name WiP) that will allow them to burrow for maybe half their speed but before I do that I have to be sure of the ramification that could have on combat.
What do ya think? |

A creature that has earth between itself and the character could be said to have total cover in which case it can't be targetted directly by an attack such as with an OA. |

| (Reply to #8)abs1nth | Oh, I totally forgot, you can of course ready a ranged attack in response to burrowing.
