If you use the Ready action, you can open the door on your turn (when you choose to Ready or during movement), but you can't technically do it during the reaction that the Ready action gives you. However, I could easily see a DM allowing it in certain situations. |

1) If there are any enemies on the other side of the door and they are aware of you, the DM would probably just have everyone roll initiative. Whoever wins the roll gets the drop on the other team.
2) If there are any enemies on the other side and they are caught unaware, the DM would probably have everyone roll initiative, but treat the enemies as "surprised," meaning that your PCs are the only characters who can act in the first round of combat, essentially giving you a free "readied" turn to do whatever you want without interference. |
