Hi all,

PHB isnt out yet in Australia. Can anyone tell me if you can take the same feat more than once, eg Martial Adept twice to get 4 manoevers and 2 dice?

Cheers!

Unless the feat specifies otherwise, no. I honestly don't recall even seeing one that you can take multiple times, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

Where is the rule that prevents taking a feat more than once? I may have missed it.

As for feats that could give multiple benefits if taken more than once, there is a feat that grants proficiency on a saving throw of your choice. It would make sense you could take it multiple times if you wanted to gain additional proficiencies for example.

Certain feats State "this feat maybe taken multiple times" this infers that other feats may not...

Elemental Adapt is the only feat that says it can be bought multiple times, but only with a different element.

I find it strange that you cna't take more than one instance of Ritual Caster or Skilled, for instance.  Elemental Adapt is the one feat I have trouble seeing anyone want to take multiple times.   You either take it because you specialize in a single element, or you don't need it.

Good catch - missed that one.  Your right, it's not a feat I can imagine taking more than once.

It seems strange that we can't take Martial Adept, Resilent, Skilled or Weapon Master multiple times. I don't see there any OP.
