| #1rarejon42Aug 29, 2014 7:24:48 | does anyone have statistics on minor / regular elementals for the conjur minor elemental spell or the conjure elemental spell? |
| #2mrsrockguruAug 29, 2014 7:31:09 | some are in the dmg pdf v1.
|
| #3Thoughts_My_AimAug 29, 2014 7:32:47 | It's in the DM's Basic Rules on the website. |
| #4rarejon42Aug 29, 2014 9:01:15 | Thanks! |
| #5rarejon42Aug 29, 2014 9:08:15 | That file seems to just have Full Elementals - challenge rating of 5. For Conjure Minor Elementals you can only do one elemental of challenge rating 2 or lower. Any advice on what to use for this? |
| #6ChristopherGrovesAug 29, 2014 9:11:14 | Are the minor ones in there? Don't recall those. |
| #7IxidorRSAug 29, 2014 9:32:55 | Elementals in range basic rules, starter set, and PHB Gargoyle CR2
That's it. Seriously? Ugh.
I'm guessing they'll be in the MM.
But they really should have had anything you stats you need for summons in the PHB. Blech. |

| #9MechatarrasqueAug 29, 2014 9:54:07 | A Gencon attendee posted a list on enworld that also had the Azer (CR 2), Magmim (CR 1/2), Water Weirds (CR 3), and a bunch of mephits (CR 1/2) as elementals. I can't confirm or deny that information. |

| #11MechatarrasqueAug 29, 2014 12:59:39 | The list I mentioned can be found at http://mouseferatu.com/index.php/news/august-20-2014-another-dd-gift/. Just to repeat: I don't claim that this list is correct.
For conjure celestial, the three monsters that fit the limit are: pegasus (CR 2), unicorn (CR 5 and Legendary), and Couatl (CR 4). All the angels are too powerful--I guess you need Planar Ally (and lots of gp's) for them.
Celestials makes me think of another kind of outsider: Modrons are constructs (and all 2 or lower), so if anyone were homebrewing an artificer, conjure minor constructs seems like an easy spell. Slaadi are abberations, but only the tadpole (CR 1/8) and the red slaad (CR 5) would fit under a modified conjure celestial. No shortage of fiends if you were homebrewing conjure fiend: lemure (CR 0), manes (CR 1/8), dretch (CR 1/4), quasit (CR 1), imp (CR 1), spined devil (CR 2), hellhound (CR 3), nightmare (CR 3), shadow demon (CR 4), succubus/incubbus (CR 4), fang of Yeenoghu gnoll (CR 4, a fiend and a gnoll), barlgura demon (CR 5), night hage (CR 5), mezzoloth (CR 5), and a cambion (CR 5).
For conjure fey/conjure woodland creatures, they have the blink dog, satyr, and sprite that IxidorRS mentioned and Pixie (CR 1/4), Dryad (CR 1), Sea Hag (CR 2), and Green Hag (CR 3).
I hope there are some more fey and celestials in the DMG, under discussion of the Planes or at least a fey and/or celestial template. |
| #12IxidorRSAug 29, 2014 15:57:20 | Conjure Woodland Beings works pretty well with what we have available. Having eight Blink Dogs running around seems like a good bit of fun to have for an hour or so. |
