Is it here somewhere and I'm just missing it? Or is there really no cost given? If there isn't, what do you guys feel is a reasonable cost for them?
The items I really need priced are the Ballista, Cannon, and Mangonel, as well as the associated ammunition for each.
Help and input is greatly appreciated! |
| #2transcendantviewerApr 19, 2015 22:35:41 | There's no gold values given, but I can make a recommendation: 10gp. per HP the siege engine has * the number of 5ft spaces it consumes. This means that Ballista (Large Object with 50 HP) would cost 10 * 50 * 4 = 2,000gp. A Trebuchet (Huge Object) would cost 10 * 150 * 9 = 13,500gp. And a Siege Tower (Gargantuan Object) would cost 10 * 200 * 16 = 32,000gp. |

I suppose for the ammunition, just go with what seems right. 10gp. per cannonball since they're huge chunks of Iron that need to be cast and 1gp. per Ballista Bolt. Trebuchets and Catapults don't really need an ammunition cost considering they're loaded with rocks. Siege Tower just would use just about anything you wanted it to: it's a fortress on wheels filled with people with weapons. Hell, it could be filled with spellcasters, all blasting out attack cantrips, if you wanted it to be. |

I'd expect it to be pushing something like 400 or so. The thing's built to saque fortresses, filled with hundreds of troops. It should have more hit points than that. Or at least Resistances to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing Damage dealt by Nonmagical Weapons. |
