Counterspell/Aura of Warding

They don't see trally useful, as the amount of minions that actually use spells is kinda low.

Or are they suppose to work also on "spell like abilities"?

What's the highest level you've played in an AL game?

The answer to that is directly correlated to whether you think Counterspell is something that should always be prepared on every Wizard's list.

They only work on spells.

 

While spells arn't common, they can be pretty devistating.

I had a flippin sweet one-on-one wizard battle between Azbara Jos and a PC playing a Wizard/Cleric while the rest of the party battled Rath Modar (who's a complete bad ass, btw). The first time I used Counterspell on him, he flipped because he was ill prepared for wizarding duels.
