| #2PolarisSep 01, 2014 7:59:01 | The only real reason IMO is if you can't buy it. In many cases (esp at low levels) Plate Armor simply won't be for sale but you could still (presumably) make it.

| #4UndrhilSep 02, 2014 19:37:43 | I don't know about the plate armor example, but if you are a Ranger or Rogue in a dungeon where you just killed a bunch of Kobolds but your leather armor somehow got destroyed, I think being able to craft Kobold-leather armor (over a couple of days?) would be amazing. Sure, I'd have to hunker down and setup a section of the dungeon to allow me for complete security, but after those days, I have my armor and didn't have to backtrack back to town to do it. No monsters repopulating the area of the dungeon I am maintaining, etc. |
