#1 Coredump00 Sep 25, 2014 9:10:18	1)  Just checking, when a creature has a skill listed, such as "Stealth +6" or 'Perception +2"; that is their *entire* bonus. It accounts for stat bonus, proficiency, and any specific boosts for that creature.... correct?     2) Is there some balancing issue for Stealth rolls I am not seeing?  An adult Red Dragon is size Huge, with Stealth +6, a spider is size Tiny, with stealth +4.  I realize we have DMs for a reason, and they will adjudicate this intelligently.... but is there any mechanics to salvage this situation?  I can't see a Huge dragon being 'more stealthy' then a Tiny spider.
#2 iserith Sep 25, 2014 9:16:48	1. Yes.   2. A DM only calls for a roll when the outcome of a creature's action is uncertain. A tiny spider can hide in a bit of shrubbery, maybe even without a roll. The red dragon cannot.

#4 iserith Sep 25, 2014 9:56:43	You only need to roll when the outcome of an action is uncertain as determined by the DM. If the DM determines that the tiny spider is hidden from you, then it is. If he feels it is uncertain, then he calls for a roll.
#5 Grazel Sep 25, 2014 16:12:05	Plus the spider will likely have advantage on most hide attempts due to it's size and isn't likely to be fought in a combat (unless you have a player like my friend who's arachnaphobic and just want to torment them).
