Can a Rogue use Cunning action to triple move by using Dash twice? Is that how it works? Thanks!

Yes, I believe that's how it works.

Yep. Rogues are quick little buggers.

They also seem to do the most damage getting sneak attack almost every round easily and take the least damage using Uncanny Dodge every round. Does anyone know of any good DPR tables for different classes/builds etc comparing them? I'd be curious to see how the classes stack up.

Unless the Rogue is Sneaking with an OA or other reaction attack, then the Fighter is probably the highest.  Double Sneak Attack in one round tips things in favor of the Rogue, though.

Rogues get 1 attack. Thats it. There are many dpr analysis over at giant in the playground but basically, rogues do not compete for DPR overall. Barbarian are in the leader followed by fighters. When it comes to burst/nova, that is Paladin. Monks start off strong but kind of fall behind. Rangers are solid throughout. Rogues hit once really hard per round but tahts more or less it. At level 11 a rogue is doing something like 1d8(rapier presumed) + dex + 5d6, a great sword barb is swinging 3 times a turn, potentially 4 for 2d6+mods+14 (great weapon fighter feat) and brutal 2 on all their dice , advantage offsets the -5, allows for crit fishing, bonus damage on crit yadda yadda. Their build in resistance to physical damage means even at low ac and giving enemies advantage willy nilly vs them, they are more durable than fighters with 5 more ac then them (math is again, over at giant if you want to look it up).

Rogues arnt bad, and sneak attack dice are flashy, but multiple attacks and chance to apply mods =almost the best. This was true in 4e (rangers =kings) and 3E =(any multi attack/heavy mod build=king.

You should pick a rogue for their stealth and sneakyness and being able to do 'good' damage with minimal investment. If you want a high body count, there are better classes.

(not to mention in 5e, you are squishy as heck!)

I think a few of these statements are a bit, well, off- are you sure you don't mean a greatsword fighter is at the top of the list, attacking 3 times per round?

Also, Great Weapon Fighting style isn't quite the same as 4e's "brutal 2"- it only allows one re-roll per die, not indefinite re-rolls.  This changes the expected value of a d6 from 3.5 (default) to 4.167 (Great Weapon Fighting), but not 4.5 (brutal 2).

Or you could check the 5e DPR Kings thread and actually see for yourself, the maths is posted :P

Currently the best fighter is a Crossbow-wielding Archery-Style Crossbow Expert-using Sharpshooter. With a shield.

And again, if they get two sneak attacks in a round, they should beat pretty much everyone.  (That's up to an extra 35-40 DPR at high levels, or more.)

All the DPR calcs are of course averages, and with the rogue you only have to land one of your two attacks (offhand) to get that SA damage, other classes have to hit with all their multiple attacks to keep up. Fast hands will allow the rogue to also fire off his wand of magic missiles as well, I expect that would bump them to the top damage dealing spot, or otherwise very close. Add in uncanny dodge, sniping with SA from hidden, abilities that do not rely on short or long rests, and use any magic item from 13th onward (eg: magic staffs, spell scrolls, god knows what else)... and I would rate rogues are one of the strongest classes in the game, across all areas - exploration, combat and interaction.

A round isn't a turn. A round has multiple turns, on which you have yours and everyone else's. And guess when OAs happen? That's right, on a different turn to yours.
