I am pretty unsure how to handle hiding in a combat in relation of having advantage.
Lets say we have the following scenario:
A rogue is hiding behind a chest while his companions are already in fight with several foes. All these foes "stay alert for signs of danger all around" (PHB177). He is shooting an arrow to an enemy that is NOT within range of 5 feet to a friend, but standing alone somewhere aside.
Questions:
Would beglad about answers!
Thanks in advance, Peter |

3. The Skulker feat might help by allowing the rogue to hide behind something lightly obscuring that he can still see through, allowing him to shoot an arrow without coming out of hiding. If he comes out of hiding, Skulker would have no effect on the attack. If there is nothing lightly obscuring to hide behind, then Skulker would not help with the attack either. |

Distracted is down to GM fiat. It can mostly be ignored for ranged sneakers, while melee sneak attackers have to play the 'GM pleaaaaaaase' game. |
