#1 Hammerbeard May 19, 2015 23:47:51	Do the Warlock Invocations which allow you to cast specific spells at will without expending a slot actually grant you those spells or just adjust the way you can cast an already known spell? Do you need to know the spell already or do you get it from the Invocation?

#3 cowleymen May 20, 2015 2:55:48	They allow you to cast a spell with out spending a slot.    As for if you know the spell, as in a multiclass warlock can now cast that spell with "standard" spell slots from another class, or just one of your pact magic slots to get the effect of a higher level slot from the spell, I think that is up to your DM. I would not be opposed to warlocks being able to use pact magic to cast an invocation spell at higher level, or even using a spell slot from another class to do so as well.
#4 Mechatarrasque May 20, 2015 8:47:11	Invocations have the fluff of you being altered by your patron, so I assume the spell is downloaded into your brain.  Whether or not it takes a slot to cast the spell depends on the invocation.  My impression is that utility spells granted by invocations usually don't take spell slots (at least the lower level ones).
#5 jaelis May 20, 2015 9:05:41	I don't think that you learn the spell. If the invocation lets you cast it 1/day, then you can't use a regular slot (either warlock or other class) to cast it more often.
#6 Hammerbeard May 20, 2015 10:44:02	Thanks for replies/help. Thanks Razintarr for simplest answer. To be honest I hadn't fully realised the Invocations I was asking about were all dealing with spells NOT on the Warlock list so obviously they would be learned via the Invocation.
