Does HAlf-orc Savage attack stack with Brutal Critical

I was looking over the Half-orc and Barbarian rules and wondered if Savage Attacks and Brutal Critical worked together.  Because holy crap if they do Half-orc Barbarians are even nastier then they used to be. Which makes me pretty damn excited.  Reading the rules there doesnt seem to be anything that says you cant roll the extra die of damage for each of them.

As far as I know, they stack. Half-Orc Barbarian with a greataxe is the way to go.

In 5e edition, for the sake of simplicity, EVERYTHING stack together except:

 

- Casting the SAME spell twice, so casting guidance twice won't give you 2d4 bonus. Different spell will stack together.

- Specific exception describe in the spell/feature/ability text.

- AC formula, you choose only 1 AC formula. So you choose between

Normal: Armor+Dex

Barbarian unarmored : 10+Dex+Con

Mage armor: 13+Dex

Monk unarmored: 10+dex+wis

 

Then add any modifier from other sources (shield, bracer of defense, ring of protection, shield of faith spell etc...).

 

So for your question yes a half orc barbarian with brutal critical and savage critical swing a great axe (1d12) will add 2d12 extra dices to his normal crit dices (2d12) for a total of 4d12 on a critical hit. then if he found a magical weapon that have magical property to add an extra dice when you crit that should stack as well giving you 3 extra dice to your crit roll for a total of 5d12 damage. Then go take 4 fighter levels to crit on a 19 and reroll your 1s and 2s (the 4th level is so you don't loose your feat) and you'll be a deadly crit machine.

 

EDIT: Greatsword is still better then the great axe (on average) untill you min max everything toward crits (so take 3 level of fighter to crit on a 19, then use your barbarian advantage to roll 2 dice to double your crit chance, then with the half orc and barbarian bonus, the great axe start to outshine teh greatsword slightly.

Sorxores: 'dice' is already plural ... there is no need to add an 's' on the end.
