Why there is no stats for Dog in MM?

Or if there is where is it?

There's the mastiff as noted by mellored, but there's such a huge variety of breeds IRL that it would be insane to give them each separate stat blocks. I might start an Internet war with this suggestion, but you could use the mastiff stat block for large dogs, and the cat stat block for small dogs.

There is also the blink dog, death dog, jackal, and wolf; all of which can be used to get different statistics for different types of dogs. Just ignore any of the features/traits that apply to the unnatural sharacteristics of those creatures, as well as any ability scores that are influenced by those unnatural characteristics.

I just increased the Mastiff from a CR 1/8 creature to a CR 1/4 creature, by giving it Worg HP and Bite attack values, to create a Guard Dog.
