I might start an Internet war with this suggestion, but you could use the mastiff stat block for large dogs, and the cat stat block for small dogs. |

| #7lawrencehoyMar 04, 2015 8:42:39 | There is also the blink dog, death dog, jackal, and wolf; all of which can be used to get different statistics for different types of dogs. Just ignore any of the features/traits that apply to the unnatural sharacteristics of those creatures, as well as any ability scores that are influenced by those unnatural characteristics.
I just increased the Mastiff from a CR 1/8 creature to a CR 1/4 creature, by giving it Worg HP and Bite attack values, to create a Guard Dog. |
